Disclosed is a linear vibration generating device used for a portable terminal. The disclosed linear vibration generating device comprises a stator including a base, an external case, a coil, and a center yoke; a vibrator including a magnet and a heavy body; and an elastic body mounted on the stator and supporting the vibrator. The heavy body has a step part on an inner diameter surface and receives the magnet to touch and fixate the magnet, and an external diameter of a lower plate is smaller than the external diameter of the magnet.
