<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assistance device that detects the eye closing and inattentive driving of a driver and provides an alarm, the device being able to determining the timing of the alarm.SOLUTION: An image is captured from a driver camera, the image is recognized, and an eye closing time is calculated. If the eye closing time is equal to or longer than a threshold Th, an eye-closing alarm is provided. Additionally, an inattentive driving time is calculated, and if the inattentive driving time exceeds the threshold Th, an inattentive driving alarm is provided. An image from a front camera is acquired having such a configuration as a condition (S200). The type of a preceding vehicle is determined (S210), and an idle running time of the own vehicle is calculated (S250). Specifically, the idle running time is calculated by adding the longer one of the eye closing time and inattentive driving time calculated in an image recognition alarming process and a reaction time. Then, a threshold is set having, as parameters, a deceleration of the preceding vehicle, which is based on the type of the preceding vehicle, the idle running time of the own vehicle, and known own deceleration (S260).</p> |
