PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method by which a design member can be manufactured superior in designability.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a design member, in which a decorative layer 2 is transferred and formed on a design surface 10 of a base 1, includes the steps of: providing a recessed parting groove 11c at least at one part of a borderline between a general surface 11 and the design surface 10 on the base 1; disposing the base 1 in a chamber 3 which has gas pressure adjustment means 35 and 36; placing transfer film 6 on the design surface 10 of the base 1; and pressing the transfer film 6 onto the design surface 10 in a heated state by using a three-dimensional transfer jig 4 made of an elastic body, while press bonding the transfer film 6 onto the design surface 10 by changing gas pressure inside the chamber 3 using the gas pressure adjustment means 35 and 36. |
