a cable having a first end fixedly disposed on the vehicle and a second end disposed opposite the first end; and a linkage that is pivotally disposed on the vehicle and that couples the second end to a hood latch; wherein deflection of the cable between the first and second ends actuates the linkage and unlatches the hood latch.
