An appliance for treating the dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint contains the occlusion inlays connected in the frontal area by the supragingival part. The inlays match the lateral group of the upper teeth starting from the first premolars (14, 24). The supragingival part 3- in thickness is positioned on the upper third of the crowns of frontal teeth and the gingivae corresponding to these teeth. The appliance is made of the soft elastic thermoplast (for example, Bioplast manufactured by Scheu-Dental) by pressure molding in apparatus (Bios tar, Twinstar, Ministar) manufactured by Scheu-Dental. The appliance is molded against the patterns of the upper and lower jaws of the patient. |
