Provided are a wireless connection setting method, a wireless communication device and a display method that enable simple setting of the wireless connection between a wireless communication device and an apparatus. The wireless connection setting method, which is executed by a wireless communication device, comprises the following: a first reception step for receiving a first wireless signal which includes second setting information; a second reception step for receiving authentication information which is from a second apparatus, is used in the authentication of a first apparatus, and is intrinsically associated with the first apparatus; a first retaining step for retaining the authentication information; an establishment step for establishing a wireless connection with the first apparatus using the second setting information; a first transmission step for transmitting to the first apparatus, over the established wireless connection, a second wireless signal which includes the authentication information; a third reception step for receiving a third wireless signal which includes response information with respect to the authentication information; and a second transmission step for transmitting first setting information to the first apparatus in a case where the response information indicates successful authentication.
