<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery system obtained by connecting a plurality of battery packs and a control method for the storage battery system.SOLUTION: A storage battery system 1 comprises: a plurality of battery packs 10 obtained by connecting a plurality of single batteries 11 in series; a control device 5 for controlling the plurality of battery packs 10; and a PCS 3 to which the plurality of battery packs 10 are connected in parallel through respective breakers 30. When a single battery 11 fails, the control device 5 makes a breaker 30 connected to a battery pack 10 including the single battery 11 open, and performs a continuous operation command to an operable battery pack 10 which is a battery pack 10 not including the failing single battery 11. The continuous operation command is for power control by the PCS 3.</p> |
