[Problem] To provide an electric tool that makes it possible to greatly reduce weight and that has excellent usability. [Solution] A circular saw (1) comprises a main body (3) that is provided with a disc-shaped saw blade (4) that is rotationally driven by a brushless motor (5) above a base (2) that has a rectangular shape in a planar view. The size of the brushless motor (5) is reduced in the axial direction thereof and a reduction in weight is achieved by decreasing the number of stacked layers of steel plates (28a) of the stator core (28) of a stator (26). As a result, rotation of the rotating shaft (31) of the brushless motor (5) at high speeds of 40,000 revolutions/minute or more becomes possible. |
