<p>The present invention relates to a cantilever-type vibration control device in which a steel plate vibration control device serves as a cantilever to absorb energy applied by a horizontal load to attenuate the vibration of a structure, and more specifically, a cantilever-type vibration control device in which a free end of a cantilever is fixed by an automatically centering roller bearing to accommodate out-of-motion thereof. The cantilever-type vibration control device includes a buffer member having a fixed portion of a plate shape having the maximum width along a given thickness, and a cantilever portion protruding from the fixed portion and having the width narrower than the fixed portion, the cantilever portion being formed with a through-hole at an end thereof; a fixing member of a plate shape and having a given thickness, the fixing member being formed with a fixing groove; a bearing member having an outer race fixed to the fixing groove of the fixing member, the bearing member being an automatically centering roller bearing of which rollers are assembled between an outer race and an inner race; and a pin member penetrating the free end of the buffer member and the inner race of the bearing member to fix the buffer member to the fixing member as a hinge. The bearing member absorbs the frictional force between the pin member and the fixing member, so that the fixing between the damping member and the fixing member serves as a perfect hinge. It is possible to absorb the out-of-plane motion, and thus the buffer member can move stably.</p> |
