PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect abnormality of a detection part which detects fuel amount in a fuel tank, relating to a hybrid vehicle which travels by switching between a first travel mode for travelling by operating an internal combustion engine and a second travel mode for travelling by a driving force of a rotary electric machine with the internal combustion engine being stopped.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle travels by switching between HV mode for travelling by operating an engine and EV mode for traveling by a driving force of a motor generator while the engine is stopped. ECU integrates travel distance in HV mode up to a predetermined amount, and, when a difference between an estimation value of fuel consumption amount and a change amount of a fuel sender gauge, until a travel distance in HV mode is integrated up to a predetermined amount, exceeds a determination value Y1, determines that the fuel sender gauge is abnormal. |
