PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress variations in density of colors resulting from a charging history of a transfer belt.SOLUTION: A control unit changes the angle of a screen to make the screen different between the use for the formation of a toner image to be initially transferred to a transfer area and the use for the formation of a toner image to be subsequently transferred to the transfer area. Thus, the occurrence of dot collapse and the occurrence of extreme suppression of the dot collapse during primary transfer cannot be visually recognized, although the occurrence can be observed in a dot unit, and thereby suppressing variations in density of colors resulting from a charging history of a transfer belt 31. |
