<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device that reduces load on designers to eliminate the risk of design errors.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a design support device that supports the design of a sequence includes: a resistance value calculation unit; a combined resistance value calculation unit; a current value calculation unit; a determination unit; and a notification unit. The resistance value calculation unit calculates the resistance value of a relay which is used for a circuit of the sequence. The combined resistance value calculation unit calculates a combined resistance value according to the circuit. The current value calculation unit calculates the value of current flowing through the circuit from the calculated combined resistance value. The determination unit compares the calculated current value and the contact capacity of an opening/closing unit connected to the circuit; and on the basis of the result, determines the validity of the contact capacity. If the validity is denied as the result of determination by the determination unit, the notification unit provides notification of it.</p> |
