The present invention relates to a collision avoidance apparatus of a vessel, which can judge vessel collision danger by using only a radar image without using a direction signal. The collision avoidance apparatus of a vessel according to the present invention includes: a radar image extraction part which extracts an image obtained from a radar installed in the vessel by an image type; an ARPA calculation part which judges collision danger of the vessel by performing convolution of a current radar image outputted from the radar image extraction part with a previously registered mask, and generates a collision warning signal if vessel collision danger exists; and a collision warning part which warns collision danger of the vessel according to the collision warning signal outputted from the ARPA calculation part.
