<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dampening solution composition capable of obtaining a clear printed matter having high visibility even when the used paper has a low quality such that the used paper has a small thickness and has low opacity, or the used paper has a low degree of whiteness in the newspaper printing.SOLUTION: The use of a dampening solution composition containing a white coloring material and/or a fluorescent whitener as a dampening solution composition used during the printing makes it possible to solve the above-described problem. That is, (1) the present invention relates to a dampening solution composition for printing a newspaper containing a white coloring material and/or a fluorescent whitener; (2) or the present invention relates to the dampening solution composition for printing a newspaper described in (1) in which the white coloring material contains a white pigment; (3) or the present invention relates to the dampening solution composition for printing a newspaper described in (2) in which the white pigment is titanium oxide; (4) or the present invention relates to the dampening solution composition for printing a newspaper described in (2) in which each of the above-described compositions is contained in the dampening solution composition in a content of 3-11 wt.%.</p> |
