PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a traffic flow line-by-line in a section between a newly connected network and an existing network.SOLUTION: A fault section estimation device includes: a transmission/reception unit for transmitting/receiving a monitor frame in a section between the self-device connected to the existing network and a target device connected to the end point of the new network connected to the existing network; an estimation unit for estimating fault occurrence in the section between the self-device and the target device according to the monitor frame received by the transmission/reception unit; and a notification unit for notifying the estimated result.
