PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal air battery capable of suppressing the leakage of an electrolyte via an air electrode and also capable of suppressing the reduction in output. ! SOLUTION: A metal air battery includes: an electrolyte vessel which is provided so as to house an electrolyte aqueous solution therein; a metal electrode which is provided in the electrolyte vessel, which has an electrode active material, and which serves as an anode; a porous air electrode which has an air electrode catalyst, through which water contained in the electrolyte aqueous solution is provided so as to permeate; and a feeding part which feeds a thicker, a gelling agent, and a fixation agent into the electrolyte vessel. !
