A method for constructing a dome-shaped roof on a cylindrical substructure structure (2) comprises: a step of forming a structure skeleton portion (7) for a dome-shaped roof by assembling a roof skeleton (6) in a radial shape in the substructure portion; a step of attaching a wheel (9) to the distal end of the roof skeleton and bringing the wheel into contact with the inner face of the substructure in a state in which the wheel can rotate and travel in the vertical direction; a step of rotating and making the wheel travel vertically on the inner face of the substructure by raising the substructure by way of jack device (13) that is disposed on the top end of the substructure; and a step of anchoring by attaching the structure skeleton portion directly or indirectly to the top end of the substructure after raising the structure skeleton portion to the top end of the substructure.
