摘要 <p>A superhydrophobic fiber of the present invention comprises: a nano-needle fiber having a surface having needle-shaped nanostructures; and a coating layer positioned on the surface having the nanostructures and containing a hydrophobic material. The superhydrophobic fiber has excellent durability due to having no aging effect, and has a large contact angle and a considerably small rolling angle, thus may not get wet in water. The method for manufacturing the superhydrophobic fiber comprises: a preparation step of preparing a pre-treatment fiber; an etching step of etching a surface and an interior of the pre-treatment fiber and manufacturing a nano needle-shaped fiber having a surface having needle-shaped nanostructures; and a coating step of forming a coating layer containing a hydrophobic material. Therefore, a mass production is possible through the method which is performed by a simple process. In addition, since a product containing the superhydrophobic fiber does not absorb a liquid droplet at all, adsorption of contaminants rarely occurs, separate drying is unnecessary, and therefore, the invention can be widely applied to a variety of goods in the leisure industry.</p>
