A display device includes a display panel including a display area in which an image is displayed, and a light unit that includes: a light guide plate including a light receiving surface and a light emitting surface; a light source spaced apart from the light receiving surface while facing the light receiving surface and overlapping the display area; and a light diffusion member extending between the light receiving surface and the light source. The light diffusion member includes at least one of a first pattern formed on a surface of the light diffusion member facing the light emitting surface, and a second pattern formed on another surface of the light diffusion member, thereby implementing uniform brightness across the whole surface of the display panel.

a display panel including a display area configured to display an image, and a light unit configured to provide light to the display panel, wherein the light unit includes:
a light guide plate including a light receiving surface and a light emitting surface,a light source spaced apart from the light receiving surface while facing the light receiving surface and overlapping the display area, anda light diffusion member positioned to extend between the light receiving surface and the light source, and wherein the light diffusion member includes at least one of a first pattern formed on a first surface of the light diffusion member facing the light emitting surface of the light guide plate, and a second pattern formed on a second surface of the light diffusion member.
