The invention relates to a method of making a contact lens, the method comprises identifying undesirable attributes, such as eccentricity, residual toricity, prism correction, spherical aberration, comatic aberration or trefoil aberration, of a lens 15, 20 produced in a precursor mould, producing at least one further lens 15, 20 in a further mould produced from a master mould and lathing the lens; adjusting the path of the lathe to take account of the undesirable attribute. A computer programme for controlling the lathe is also claimed. |
