<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner which suppresses occurrence of shift in an arrangement of scan start points of a plurality of beams even when a position of expanding means is adjusted, which expands, in a main scanning direction, the plurality of beams emitted from a plurality of two-dimensionally arrayed light emitting points. <P>SOLUTION: An optical scanner includes: expanding means (58 and 60) for expanding, in a main scanning direction, beam diameters of a plurality of beams emitted from a plurality of two-dimensionally arrayed light emitting points; scanning means (44 and 46) which scans the plurality of beams on a scanning object surface (50) by irradiating the scanning object surface (50) while deflecting the plurality of beams in the main scanning direction; control means (48) which controls emission timing of the plurality of light emitting points so that scan start points of the plurality of beams are aligned in a line in a sub-scanning direction on the scanning object surface (50); adjustment means (63) for adjusting positions of the expanding means; and correction means for correcting emission timing of the plurality of light emitting points in accordance with an adjustment amount of the positions of the expanding means (58 and 60) when the position of the expanding means (58 and 60) is adjusted by the adjustment means (63). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
