<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make unnecessary alteration of existing equipment when incorporating a network having dynamic IP address allocation into an existing network implemented on the premise of fixed IP address allocation. <P>SOLUTION: A relay device 17 connected between a first network segment (local area segment 10) and a second network segment (wide area segment 20) substitutes, as a part of the first network segment, a virtual IP address for an IP address dynamically allocated to a second terminal group (wide area network terminal 14), to relay messages exchanged between a management server 13 and the second terminal group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
