<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for correcting distortion of an image incident to attachment error between sensor chips. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a displacement amount determination unit 30 which determines the amount of displacement of an image region (processing column) read by one of a plurality of sensor chips from the amount of positional shift of the processing column for a specified image region (reference column), a pixel addition unit 31 which virtually adds a pixel having at least one pixel value for use in an interpolation method to the processing column, depending on the amount of displacement thus determined, the displacement direction and the interpolation method to be used, and a pixel value update unit 32 which updates the pixel value set for each pixel in the processing column by the pixel value of each pixel generated using a pixel, to which the pixel value of each pixel in the processing column when the processing column is displaced by the amount of displacement in the displacement direction is added, and the interpolation method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
