PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in device size due to the positional relation of components in the direction in which signal light or monitor light is emitted.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device includes a circuit board, a plurality of optical modulators, a plurality of waveguides, a plurality of lenses, and a holding member. The plurality of optical modulators, juxtaposed on the circuit board in the width direction of the circuit board, modulate light. The plurality of waveguides, formed on the circuit board, waveguide signal light that is at least one of a plurality of modulated light obtained as light is modulated by the plurality of optical modulators and monitor light that is modulated light other than the signal light. The plurality of lenses collimate the signal light and monitor light emitted from the plurality of waveguides. The holding member holds the plurality of lenses in a state in which the optical axis of at least one of the plurality of lenses is shifted in a prescribed direction from the optical axis of at least one of the plurality of waveguides. The holding member thereby causes the signal light and monitor light to be emitted in different directions from the plurality of lenses. |
