<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system communication control method that allows a data signal related to communication contents requiring immediacy to be communicated in higher speed between a lens unit and a camera body.SOLUTION: In order to achieve the objective, between upper-level side control means and lens unit side control means, the following communication schemes are selectively adopted according to communication contents: a synchronous communication scheme in which in response to a command signal transmitted by one control means, the other control means transmits a response signal to the one control means; and an asynchronous communication scheme in which in response to a command signal transmitted by one control means, the other control means performs control corresponding to command contents included in the command signal without transmitting a response signal to the one control means.</p> |
