PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely stop conveyance by preventing deformation of a recording medium P, etc. in an image forming apparatus 1.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 which performs printing processing to a long recording medium P is provided with a fixing part 30 which heats and pressurizes a developer image to be fixed on the recording medium P. The fixing part 30 has a fixing roller 31 which heats the recording medium P, and a temperature sensor 33 which measures surface temperature of the fixing roller 31 is installed in the fixing part 30. A storage circuit part 43 of the image forming apparatus 1 has: a conveyance speed table 43a; and a threshold temperature table 43b. Temperature of the fixing roller 31 is lowered by stop of heating of the fixing roller 31 after completion of printing processing to the recording medium P. When the temperature of the fixing roller 31 is lowered to threshold temperature set in the threshold temperature table 43b, conveyance speed of the recording medium P is correspondingly and gradually changed to speed set in the conveyance speed table 43a, and a conveyance operation of the recording medium P is gradually changed in order of continuous conveyance, intermittent conveyance, and conveyance stop. |
