PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device capable of monitoring or recording data to be routed by adding a simple configuration to a device that performs routing processing.SOLUTION: When a data frame is received, in a gateway section 110 as a network device, a retrieval/monitor part 111 retrieves an entry including an ID matched to an ID of the data frame from a routing table 113, performs processing for transferring the data frame to a transfer destination defined in the entry when the entry is matched, determines whether a bit defined by monitor target definition information included in the entry in data included in the data frame presents a state defined by monitoring operation definition information included in the entry, and performs processing for predetermined output defined by output operation definition information included in the entry in accordance with a result of the determination.
