<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor in which linearity of detection output is improved by stabilizing, with shape anisotropy, magnetization of a free magnetic layer in an element layer which utilizes magnetoresistive effect, and fixation of magnetization of a fixed magnetic layer is stabilized.SOLUTION: In a magnetoresistive effect element, an element layer 20 is formed by stacking a fixed magnetic layer 22 of a laminate ferrimagnetic structure, a free magnetic layer 24, and a non-magnetic layer 23, while the non-magnetic layer 23 is sandwiched between the fixed magnetic layer 22 and the free magnetic layer 24. In the element layer 20, a width dimension W2 of the free magnetic layer 24 is formed smaller, the magnetization of the free magnetic layer 24 is intensively uniformed due to the shape anisotropy, so that the linearity of detection output is improved. A width dimension W1 of the fixed magnetic layer 22 is made larger for stabilizing the fixed magnetization of the fixed magnetic layer, so that noises superposing the detection output can be decreased.</p> |
