PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor storage device capable of reducing data input/output time while maintaining the reliability of the data.SOLUTION: A flash memory includes: a memory array; a page buffer 170 that holds data which is read out from the memory array or holds data which is to be written to the memory array; an external input/output terminal 200; an ECC circuit 120 connected to the page buffer 170, which detects and corrects errors of data which is input to the page buffer 170 or data which is output from the buffer; and a compression unit 130 connected between the ECC circuit 120 and external input/output terminal 200, which compresses and expands the data. |
