PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an (R)-hydroxynitrile lyase which is more stable than the hydroxynitrile lyase derived from plants, and capable of heterologous expression using a gene thereof, and to provide a method for producing the hydroxynitrile lyase concerned.SOLUTION: The invention provides an (R)-hydroxynitrile lyase and a variant thereof which are derived from Chamberlinius hualienensis comprising a specific amino acid sequence, and a method for producing the (R)-hydroxynitrile lyase obtained from the culture obtained by culturing a transformant transformed by a vector comprising their genes. |
