PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-modified styrene-based resin suitably used as a food container or a food container lid material which directly contacts to especially oil or milk because it is excellent in oil resistance and strength and has small generation of odor.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber-modified styrene-based resin having a volume median particle diameter of a rubbery dispersion particle of 4.0 to 10μm, gel content of 22.0 to 35.0 mass%, retained styrene monomer of less than 500 ppm, the content of 1,5-cyclooctadiene of less than 5.0 ppm.
