PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable relatively easy addition of an authentication function by connecting an external device used for user authentication at a communication terminal.SOLUTION: A communication terminal capable of communicating with a first server and a second server via a network includes an independent authentication application that exchanges data with a sensor connected with a host controller via an interface of an operating system. The communication terminal transmits verification data detected by the sensor together with a user ID to the second server to request user authentication, obtains a password transmitted by the second server if the user authentication is a success, transmits a prepared user ID and the password to the second server, transmits an authentication response including information identifying the first server transmitted when authentication is a success to the first server to log in, and thereby receives a service provided by the first server. |
