PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an austenite stainless steel having reduced sensitivity to generation of irradiation induced stress corrosion crack and high strength.SOLUTION: An austenite stainless steel contains C of over 0.04 mass% and 0.08 mass% or less, Mn of 1.0 mass% to 2.0 mass%, Ni of 9.0 mass% to 13.0 mass%, Cr of 17.0 mass% to 20.0 mass%, Ta of 13 or more times of C and 0.55 mass% to 1.50 mass% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The austenite stainless steel is applied to a structure in an atomic rector to which 0.5×10N/cmor more neutron having energy of 0.1 MeV or more is radiated.
