<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer and a projector such that a light shielding member can be properly cooled.SOLUTION: A dimmer 5 includes: a pair of light shielding members 8 and 9 that are arranged interposing a center axis of a passing light bundle, are each inserted into and ejected from a passing region of the light bundle, and shield at least a part of the light bundle when arranged within the passing region; and a rectification portion 632 and a first inclination portion 832 (guide portion) that guide air for cooling the pair of light shielding members 8 and 9. The light shielding member 8 has an incident side light shielding portion 83 (incident side insertion portion) and an emission side light shielding portion 82 (emission side insertion portion) that are arranged apart from each other in a passing direction of the light bundle and are respectively inserted into and ejected from the passing region. The rectification portion 632 and the first inclination portion 832 guide air between the incident side light shielding portion 83 and the emission side light shielding portion 82.</p> |
