<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve position detection accuracy of a position detection device such as a magnet type, an optical type or the like.SOLUTION: A position detection device comprises: a scale that extends along a movement direction of an object of a position detection target and has a position detection signal repeatedly recorded in a fixed cycle; a sensor that is movable with the object and detects the position detection signal recorded in the scale; and a position acquisition unit that acquires a position of the object on the basis of an output signal of the sensor. As the sensor, the position detection device comprises: main sensors 21 and 23 that are movable with the object, disposed to face the scale, and detect the position detection signal recorded in the scale; and sub-sensors 22 and 24 that are disposed at a position adjacent to a direction orthogonal to a movement direction of the main sensors 21 and 23, and detect a signal having the position detection signals recorded in the scale and within a range of the fixed cycle or integral multiple of the fixed cycle averaged.</p> |
