Note here that pipes ends, nipple and coupling are machined to produce mating cylindrical and conical surfaces. Steps are made of conical surfaces to get the grooves for solder to be fitted therein and at the end of mating cylindrical surface. Wear-proof strips are soldered on the nipple and coupled outer surfaces.
