A pole shoe, for a generator comprising a pole assembly 4 which is of a laminated configuration, at least one winding 6 arranged around the pole assembly 4, and at least one end portion 1 provided at least one end of the pole assembly 4 in a longitudinal direction (A) thereof between the pole assembly 4 and the winding 6. The end portion 1 has rounded edges to provide an edge-free transition between the end portion and the pole assembly 4 for the winding 6. An insulating means is arranged between the pole assembly and the winding. The insulating means produces an adhesive connection between the pole assembly and the winding.
