The present invention relates to a power transmission apparatus for a hybrid vehicle. More particularly, the present invention provides a power transmission apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, comprising: an engine (10) functioning as a first power source; a battery (50) disposed on a side of the engine (10); a motor (30) that is separated a predetermined distance from the engine (10) in parallel thereto and is connected to the battery (50) to function as a second power source; a high-voltage power generator (62) that constantly operates while being power-connected to the engine (10) and is connected to the battery (50); a first clutch (20) for controlling an output that is generated in the engine (10) and transmitted to a transmission (70); and a second clutch (40) for controlling an output that is generated in the motor (30) and transmitted to the transmission (70), wherein the outputs generated in the engine and the motor and transmitted to the transmission are controlled by regulating the first and second clutches, installed parallel to an input shaft, according to the driving state of the vehicle.
