METHOD FOR DETECTING DISEASES USING HIGH RESOLUTION MANOMETRY, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a method for detecting diseases using a high resolution manometry, and an apparatus therefor. The present invention provides a method for detecting anal diseases using a manometry having a plurality of pressure sensors disposed at determined intervals along a section in an arbitrary location in the length direction of the manometry, the method comprising the steps of: obtaining pressure values from each of the plurality of pressure sensors during a pre-set time; obtaining a three-dimensional pressure distribution showing the changes in the pressure values according to location and time by using the time, pressure values, and locations in which the pressure sensors are disposed in the section in the arbitrary location; and calculating, in the three-dimensional pressure distribution, the volume integral of a section in a location of interest which is predetermined in accordance with the diseases. The method increases efficiency in determining various diseases related to the rectum and anus by using the pressure values of certain sensors related to the rectal or anal area when the manometry is inserted.
