A method and device for synthesizing a high dynamic range image, which relate to the field of image processing, and are used for improving the quality of a high dynamic range image. The method comprises: acquiring a first image and a second image; conducting binocular stereographic matching on the first image and the second image, so as to obtain a disparity image; according to the disparity image and the first image, synthesizing a virtual view which has the same viewing angle as the second image; according to the second image, obtaining a second grey-scale image, and according to the virtual view, obtaining a virtual view grey-scale image; according to the second grey-scale image and the virtual view grey-scale image, obtaining a high dynamic range grey-scale image via a high dynamic range synthesis algorithm; and according to the high dynamic range grey-scale image, the second grey-scale image, the virtual view grey-scale image, the second image and the virtual view, obtaining a high dynamic range image. The present invention is suitable for a scenario of synthesizing a high dynamic range image. |
