The invention relates to a rod-shaped magnetic field sensor (1) comprising an outer housing (4) that has an outer thread (2), and a sensor head (10) that has a Hall probe (6) and a permanent magnet (8). In order to simplify production of the magnetic field sensor (1), it is suggested that the outer housing (4) is a plastic injection moulded component with the sensor head (10) embedded in it, and has a threaded sleeve (6) which comprises said outer thread (2) and is moulded into the plastic injection moulded component.
