A device for inhibiting stomal protrusion that includes a first end having a first outer diameter and a first device opening; a second end having a second outer diameter greater than the first outer diameter, the second end having an inner cylindrical surface and a second device opening; a longitudinal axis extending between the first device opening and second device opening; a cylindrical wall coterminal with the first end, the cylindrical wall having an axis collinear with the longitudinal axis; an intermediate wall longitudinally between the cylindrical wall and the second end, the intermediate wall having a maximum outer diameter greater than the first outer diameter and smaller than the second outer diameter; wherein the inner cylindrical surface, the cylindrical wall, and the intermediate wall define at least part of a lumen extending between the first device opening and the second device opening; and wherein the device is made from a fluid-impervious material. |
