The embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and device for a subconference in a virtual conference. The method first acquires the attribute characteristics of each sub-venue within the range of a main venue. Then, first communications information is received from other sub-venues, the first communications information being used for obtaining adjusted first communications information, the signal strength of said adjusted first communications information being determined according to said attribute characteristics; the adjusted first communications information is sent to the other virtual participants in the current sub-venue. Thus the invention is capable of adjusting, in accordance with the attribute characteristics of the sub-venues, the signal strength of the communications information between sub-venues; the invention ensures that the virtual conference in the current sub-venue is not affected by the communications information of the other sub-venues, while communications information from the other sub-venues is also received so as to facilitate observation of the dynamics of the other sub-venues. |
