PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active fluoroalkene derivative that is useful as a synthetic intermediate of medicines and agrochemicals, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: An optically active fluoroalkene derivative and a method of producing an optically active fluoroalkene derivative (1) are provided. The method includes obtaining an optically active chlorofluorohexene diol derivative, an optically active fluorohexene triol derivative, and an optically active fluorohexene diol derivative by optically dividing difluorohexene diol derivative, followed by deprotection, oxidization, and methyl esterification.
