<p>Abstract The Battery Master Switch is one complete unit, comprising a mechanical contact actuator or handle, a housing and base plate, a contact housing with terminal studs and activated internal moving contacts, a security key lock and magnetic safety cap, an audio warning system and strategically located coloured LED's or alternate illuminated indicators in conjunction with visual decals indicating the selected position of the mechanical contact actuator or handle plus electrical connections connected to the terminal studs at the base of the contact housing. Moulded insulators fitted over power source connection cables giving protective insulation to the cable ends and terminal studs when the end insulator cover is installed. The incoming power source connection cables can be multi-fit, i.e., straight or 90 degrees, the audio orifice in the base cap allows the audio sound from the warning buzzer to transmit. Strategically located LED's or alternate illuminated indicators indicate the selected position of the mechanical contact actuator and the safety locking mechanism. A self-closing magnetic safety cap activates the visual and audio mechanisms, high visual decals in conjunction with coloured LED's or alternate illuminated indicators (green for on, red for off, flashing red in conjunction with the audio buzzer for unlock) advise the user the state of the battery master switch. The mechanical contact actuator or handle attached to the spindle that actuates the battery master switch contacts is high visible material. The locking system is an integrated Security Master Key System.
