<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor which can keep its capacity at a large percentage even with a high voltage applied thereto, and which has excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: The electric double layer capacitor includes: positive and negative electrodes each composed of a current collector integrated with an active material; a separator disposed between the positive and negative electrodes, and having a permeability to liquid, and an electrically non-conducting property; a casing which the positive and negative electrodes, and the separator are encased in; and an electrolytic solution filling the casing. The positive electrode and/or negative electrode are/is formed by packing, as the active material, NO-processed activated carbon powder into pores of a foamed aluminum having a three-dimensional reticular skeletal structure and constituting the current collector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
