摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for calculating a wind load in accordance with topographic factors. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a wind load can be calculated by the quantitative and rational application of the impact of geographical features to the wind. To achieve this, the apparatus for calculating a wind load in accordance with topographic factors comprises: a target area setting part to set up first and second target areas based on a structure; an information acquisition part to obtain information on the position and height of multiple points within the first and second target areas; and a peak height calculation part which calculates a reference value of each point and computes an interpolation equation on the two-dimensional coordinates of selected points to determine a virtual point as a peak candidate and to calculate a peak height for calculating a wind load applied to the structure, wherein the reference value of the virtual point is the X-axis coordinate corresponding to the maximum value of the equation and the height of the virtual point is the maximum value.
