1. A solar array that is arranged to generate an electrical signal in response light, the solar array comprising:
a transparent substrate having a surface; and a transparent conductive layer coupled to the surface of the transparent substrate, the transparent conductive layer comprising a ceramic matrix that contains a nanotube slurry, wherein the transparent conductive layer is arranged as an array of transparent nanoantennas, wherein at least some of the transparent nanoantennas absorb infrared energy, and at least some of the transparent nanoantennas output an electrical signal.
