FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a controlled chromophore, containing a compound of formula B-X, wherein B is a basic chromophoric compound and X is a controlled chemical fragment which forms a residual chemical fragment (C) when exposed to certain electromagnetic radiation which results in the formation of a compound B-C, wherein the compound B-C provides greater light absorption in the ultraviolet and/or blue range than the compound B-X and the residual chemical fragment (C) includes a conjugated double bond obtained by forming a residual chemical fragment, thereby enabling the chromophoric compound to provide greater light absorption.
