A non-aqueous liquid composition comprises particles having ultraviolet (UV)-absorbing capability and silicone oil in which the particles are dispersed. The particles have optionally shell layer composed of copolymer derived from silicone macromer (A) and vinyl monomer (B) containing (meth)acrylate monomer, and core layer. The core layer is composed of UV absorber (C1) or UV-absorbing monomer (C2). The macromer (A) exists in the copolymer within a ratio of 1 - 20 wt.% of all components of the particle and orients toward the outer surface of the particles. A non-aqueous liquid composition comprises particles having ultraviolet (UV)-absorbing capability and silicone oil in which the particles are dispersed. The particles have optionally a shell layer and core layer. The shell layer is composed of a copolymer derived from a silicone macromer (A) and a vinyl monomer (B) mainly containing (meth)acrylate monomer. The core layer is composed of an UV absorber (C1) and optionally (co)polymer mainly derived from (meta)acrylate monomer, or an UV-absorbing monomer (C2) and optionally a copolymer derived from the monomer (B). The macromer (A) exists in the copolymer within a ratio of 1 - 20 wt.% of all components of the particle and orients toward the outer surface of the particles. An independent claim is included for producing a non-aqueous liquid composition containing particles having ultraviolet-absorbing capability and silicone oil in which the particles are dispersed, involving subjecting the mixture of silicone macromer (1 - 20 wt.%), vinyl monomer (20 - 98 wt.%) mainly containing (meta)acrylate, and an organic ultraviolet absorber (C1) or an ultraviolet-absorbing monomer (C2) (1 - 60 wt.%), to at least one radical polymerization reaction step in the silicone oil.
